This essay seeks to make a brief introduction to the educational work of Dr. Ramon Gallegos Nava’s Basic Principles of holistic education, trying to synthesize the concepts, models, goals, among other reasons cited in these books by authors who are experts on matters related to this emerging paradigm for the education of XXI century society. Education is the most viable tool for the development of all human beings, and therefore, the societies that have inhabited our home planet in the past, present, and of course in the future. This projection is before us, the reality we are living with the current problems arising from the conventional educational model based on the mechanistic paradigm, which has caused a decline in human development of our society, affecting performance in full individual dimensions, social, community, planet, and of course produces a total absence of any spiritual action, has given priority to the scientific and technological development, or the individual growth of the external ego, rather than the emotional and spiritual development or community development , which are states of consciousness that promote the enrichment of relationships with planetary beings “holistic education is a process of becoming aware that the world is a unity, an interdependent whole, is based on a deep devotion for life and the potential inherent in human nature. ” This holistic education is an integral process to restructure education in all its aspects, as a new paradigm provides us with a global framework based on the best of human knowledge, arts, sciences, traditions and spirituality, resulting the transdisciplinarity .
